DGI&P has launched an e-passport system which allows citizens and overseas Pakistanis to renew their passports online. So, this e-service portal is facilitating overseas Pakistanis to renew their passports hassle-free without visiting the offices. This online passport renewal service s applicable for the renewal of passports with a validity of 5-10 years.

Get New Passports at IMPASS Office

IMPASS is an abbreviation for Immigration and Passports. It is a one-stop organization for all immigration services, and passports. to facilitate the citizens with the speedy process, there are 180 IMPASS offices in Pakistan. It offers a One-Window Operation that does all the passport procedures in one place without letting the applicants hassle at separate desks.

This One-Window System collects applicants’ photos, personal details, tokens, and biometric data at a single desk. This system also serves women and disabled persons with separate desks to speed up the process. The Applicants can easily get their new passports by visiting IMPASS offices near them. Moreover, all Pakistani citizens are also applicable to get MRP (MAchine-Readable Passports) to travel abroad.

The e-passport of Pakistan has a biometric chip integrated inside it. It includes around 29 new security elements. It also works to use the e-gate service at international airports. Any Pakistani citizen can get an e-passport or renew it with an easy method.

The renewal of an e-passport takes only 16.5 minutes. After completing the process and submitting the application, the ministry of DGI&P delivers the passports to your doorstep anywhere in Pakistan or abroad. The delivery requires only 10 days. Meanwhile, the passport tracking system is also available to keep a check on the status of your application.

There are two methods of tracking passports in Pakistan. DGI&P has launched SMS and online service for this purpose. By using any of the techniques, the applicants can see the status of their request. After submitting the application, the applicants receive a token number that they need to track their passports. It tells everything about your process status like whether it is printed, rejected or delivered.

  • Enter the 11-digit token number in the message.

To do this via the online method, you have to create an account on this link. You can create an account by providing your personal information. After signing up, provide your 11-digit token number and enter search. This is a free-of-cost service. However, the applicants can only track their passports 3 times a day.

Email service

The tracing service is also available via email. You can send your passport-related queries to [email protected]. You need to enter your full name, contact number, CNIC, contact address and 11-digit token number.
