Bano Qudsia was a famous literature creator in Urdu, and Punjabi and played an important role in Pakistani television and stage drama. Her novel Raja Gidh was a reason for her fame that gave a new trend to Pakistani literature, moreover, her play Aadhi Baat has been called a Classic play.She also known as Bano Aapa.

Early life, Family, And Education
Bano Aapa was the daughter of famous landlord Badrul Zaman Chatta who had a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture. Her mother Zakira Begum was an Educationalist and her brother Pervaiz Chatta was a Painter. She migrated to Lahore with her family after the partition of India.
She was married to Pakistani famous poet Ashfaq Ahmed and blessed with three sons. Bano Qudsia got her bachelor’s degree from Kinnaird College Lahore, and after that, she got admission to MA Urdu literature at the Government College University (GCU). She completed her master’s degree in 1951.
