Directorate General of Immigration and Passport has the responsibility to issue all the new passports and renew the existing ones. DGI&P has recently issued new charges that are applicable to the service from all the Passport Issuing Authorities at Home and Abroad and all Zonal heads and at all the regional Passport Offices. The Government of Pakistan has announced a reduction in the Passport fee 2023 for those who want to renew their expired passports. Documents Required
To get a new passport, you have to visit any nearby passport office. You need the following documents for the issuance of a passport:
- Original CNIC and 2 copies
- Bank fee challan
- Old Passport (optional)
- Government Employees have to bring NOC.
- Armed Officers must come in their Uniforms.
- Dual nationality holders must show the documents of the country they belong to.
For applicants under 18 years of age:
- B-form issued from NADRA with 2 legible photocopies.
- CNIC copies of Father and Mother or official Guardian.

In case of losing or misplacing your passport, it is obligatory for the applicants to go to the Police Station first. Before applying for the renewal, file an FIR at the police station and bring a copy of it to the passport office as proof. Otherwise, your application will not be entertained. In that case, the applicants must pay double Passport fee 2023.
The Government of Pakistan has recently launched Mobile Passport Facilities for those who cannot visit the offices due to any circumstances. So, they can get their passport issuance from Passport processing counters or Mobile Register Vehicles.
